About the boat

Chris & Amanda Rose bought Rampage from David King in May 2012, renamed her Sweet Surrender and took her to Swarbrick’s where she underwent a complete refit and emerged looking beautiful and like a new boat.

The hull and deck were completely refurbished and painted. The minor osmosis was professionally treated by Swarbricks. New keel bolts and new rudder were fitted. Lewmar custom portholes were installed, new pushpit, new pulpit, new stanchions, new stanchion bases, new standing rigging, new running rigging, new spectra halyards. Mast was refurbished and fitted with new tabernacle with pivot and mast lowering gear.

The cabin was completely stripped and rebuilt with much improved layout. LED cabin lights, solar ventilators, new engine and new electronics fitted.

A new gearbox was fitted in 2012 and a new Volvo D1-20 diesel engine fitted in 2013.

She was sold to Jamie Downs in 2015

  1. Hi

Just some more accurate info for the page.

    • Thanks Amanda, I have updated your web page. I am assuming that you have a Mk1 keel and rudder, with the tall Mk2 rig and keel stepped mast? Do you have tiller steering? If you want me to add some more photos just send them to me, I can take quite high res ones, although anything over about1MB is a bit of a waste and around 300-500Kb is plenty.

      Regards, Simon

  2. Hi looking for S&S34 in good order. Is yours still available.I am in Perth Wa.Owned a 30 before and loved it.Now 65 years (nearly)and like to own a 34.Make my dream come ….Kind regards Peter Jansen

    • Dear Peter,

Sorry for the delay in approving this Peter, my understanding is that it is still for sale and at a very good price for all the work that was done. you can see boats advertised for $30-50k, but they need a full rebuild and this is very expensive, it is usually cheaper to buy one where someone else has done all the hard work, unless you really want to put in all the labour yourself (might be more fun to go sailing!)
      Regards, Simon
