The Yacht’s Story
Limited past history is available. She was spotted in May 2009 by John McCormack in Pittwater, he noted: “A dark blue hull, 5 window model with tall mast & twin spreaders with skeg hung rudder. She is in poor cosmetic condition, a furled headsail but no mainsail. A lot of growth underneath and lots of bird mess. The broker I was with tells me it has been there for years, the growth indicates 2-4 years of neglect.”
From Chris Furey, Mar 2017:
Her original owner was Cliff Wilkinson from Royal Yacht Club of Victoria in Williamstown VIC. Next owner was Paul Jacka from and later Commodore of Sandringham Yacht Club, VIC. She was originally a bright yellow hull and I still have a photo of her racing on Port Phillip in the early 1980s. I well remember her doing the ’81 Hobart. There is a half model of Mulloka in original colours on the Model Wall at Sandringham Yacht Club
