The Yacht’s Story
Build by Aquafibre in England for a France boat show. And sold to a Frenchman Claude Barre. She is not the original Morning Cloud belonging to Ted Heath, which was lost, but renamed after her.
About the Owners
Bob van der Wilt and Jaap and Mieke Hollebrand were proud co-owners of this Morning Cloud. They made a great website for her, just click here: Webpage
From Peter Darwin, Aug 2015:
Hello Simon. Well, what a nice surprise to hear from you. Bob mentioned that he had mailed you regarding the change of ownership. I will keep Bobs website (with his permission) as it is well constructed. It has a transcribe facility for the text .Just click on the union flag top right. She is in super condition and a credit to Bob who has spent a lot of time and money on her. This is my first yacht. Five years ago I took a RYA dinghy course at my local sailing club and bought an Enterprise dinghy.
We (my brother and I) will be sailing her from Holland and round to Conway, North Wales.I will keep you posted about this.
That’s it for now Simon. I also would like to join the S&S 34 club please. And a big shout to the skipper and crew of Azzurro, Sydney Gold coast race.
