The Yacht’s Story
Joy was built 1970 in UK by Aqua-Fibre and brought to Finland the same year. She has been in Finland since then and sailed by the current owners since 2003. During the late 1990s the boat was renovated. For example, the hull and deck were painted, a teak deck was installed, the interior was revarnished and new instrumentation was assembled. In 2005 she got a new engine installation (Yanmar 2GM). In 2005 she also got also a new mast step as the original mast step was seriously corroded. So far, Joy has been used on family holidays in the archipelago between Finland and Sweden. Our summer is short, and therefore Joy spends more than half a year onshore inside her tent.
